The Caminho dos Orixás is an Afro-religious tour itinerary. Altogether, there are seven paths, one for each day of the week, offering, at the same time, a touristic panoramic view and making a correlation with the particular aspects of religion and deities – the orixás – of Bahian culture.The Orixas Path will guide visitors through three of the oldest and most recognized houses of African origin in the city – according to the availability of each house's calendar of celebrations. Among them are Terreiro do Gantois, Casa de Oxumarê and Casa Branca. The Casa Branca is the most traditional, having been founded in 1830, according to some historians.
It was listed in the 80's, and leaders came out of it to found other traditional houses in the city, such as Gantois. In this house, in its memorial and common areas, presenting to visitors aspects of the memory of the leaders and patrons of the house, among them, personalities of world culture.The entire tour is guided with respect to traditions and sacred spaces, with appropriate clothing and routes under the guidance of a guide recognized by the hosts.
