Founded in 2004, the Afro Brazil Museum, located in the Manoel da Nóbrega Pavilion, inside Ibirapuera Park, was designed by the iconic architect Oscar Niemeyer. Divided into 6 sectors and with a huge collection of over 8,000 works including paintings, engravings, clothing, furniture, sculptures, and photographs, the Afro Brazil Museum, through themes such as religion, work, art, and slavery, highlights the African perspective in the formation of Brazilian heritage, identity, and culture.
